Biogas plant operator (all genders)

We are looking for support with the day-to-day running of our biogas plant in Titz-Ameln. The start date is by agreement.

Your tasks

• You feed the plant according to the feeding plan, operate the machines used and carry out inspection rounds.

• You record operating and process data, document substrate quantities, maintenance work and faults, and keep the plant logbook.

• After appropriate instruction, you carry out maintenance, cleaning and minor repair work within the scope of your qualifications and assignment.

• You look after the digestate separation, keep track of stock levels and capacities, and support storage, provision and collection.

• You support the acceptance of substrates, checks of quantity and appearance, and their proper storage.

• You deal with fault alarms within the scope of your qualifications and call in colleagues or specialist companies when needed.

• Once you have been trained, you take over weekend duty every other week. On your weekends you feed the plant twice a day on Saturday and Sunday and check the plant. In addition, there are agreed on-call duties, including at night, at weekends and on public holidays.

What you bring

A completed technical, trade or agricultural vocational qualification, a class B driving licence, technical understanding and basic computer skills. You work carefully, reliably and independently. Experience with wheel loaders, telehandlers or agricultural machinery is an advantage. Experience with biogas plants is welcome but not required. While you are on call, you can reach the plant within the response time agreed in the company.
